A “fluffy” is the name of a corgi, with a longhaired coat. The specific gene that causes a fluffy coat in corgis is referred to as the “fluff-gene” and it is the result of a recessive genetic coat mutation.
Fluffy corgis are not known to suffer from any unique health effects due to this genetic mutation. They simply have longer hair. Aside from a difference in coat length, fluffy corgis and standard corgis are essentially the exact same dog.
Unfortunately, fluffy coats are considered to be a fault in a corgi’s conformation and can not be shown in the ring. None the less they are still great companions!
As far as shedding goes my fluffies shed way less than our standard coats do! However, they have to be brushed regularly, and thoroughly to prevent matting.
The tri color fluff can be BHT (black headed Tri. Or RHT (red headed Tri)
The red & white coat color, the dog is usually mostly red with white markings.
The bluie tri, this Bluie color is a dilute gene that makes the coat look blue/gray. The coat will get very dark as your puppy grows.
